Tomorrow could be a great day in NFL history because the New England Patriots are very close to do what only one team has done yet in all NFL history, a perfect season with a 16-0 record.
Only the 1972 Dolphins achieved this performance so far.
Of course a comparison is already made between these two teams.
Espacially with two Pats' players who are very close from breaking 2 other big records.
Most touchdown passes in a single season for Tom Brady (photo left #12) who's got already 48 TD passes (record:49) with a huge percentage of completion (68.3) and his rating is simply amazing(117.2) with only 8 interceptions thrown on his 536 last pass attempts!
A quarterback needs a big target to throw to, and Brady's got Randy Moss who's about to beat Jerry Rice's record for most touchdown receptions in a single season. 22 is the record and 21 is the number of Randy's TD receptions. The yards earned by Moss before the last game:
1393 for 92 receptions, his average per catch is about 15 yards (15.1 exactly)
He's definitely the biggest threat in today's football.
Moss (photo #81) has the potential to destroy a defense.
Clearly, this guy has the physical abilities to hurt every defensive back he faces as he's tall, fast, got great hands.
My point is Moss is, maybe, a bigger deep threat than he were when he played with Culpepper and the Vikings and for one good reason, Brady is a better thrower than Culpepper.
So what's the deal?
I really think if New England win their last game, the consequences are very simple to me.
First of all Pats will be clearly unbeatable and no one can stop them to their ascension to the highest tops of football.
Second of all, Brady will be named MVP.
A lot of records could be rewriten and things could begin tomorrow and finish by a huge victory on a poor opponent on SuperbowlXLII, they will, certainly, destroy any team they play against.
Coach Belichick would increase Patriots' dinasty building with their fourth ring since the start of this century and also, would keep going to punish everyone to show the world there's no need to spy anyone to win.
