In week 17, the 07 Patriots finally did what only the 1972 Dolphins have done before!
A perfect season with a 16-0 record, and three other records broken: most points scored during the regular season, most touchdown passes, 50 for Brady who broke Manning's previous record (49) and the last, but not the least, most touchdown receptions in a single season which is now the property of Randy Moss with 23, the previous one was Jerry Rice's record with 22.
The key thing is both of these two records (touchdown-passes and receptions) were broken at the same time, by teammates (photo right), Tom Brady (quarterback) and Randy Moss (receiver).
I saw the final game of their undefeated season and that was simply amazing however the Giants shoved the Pats.
Everything went the wrong way for New England in first half, they did not score first, but it was writen that this great team would join the greatest stars of football.
The second part of the season was not as simple as it could be, but all team showed an incredible mental toughness on both sides of the ball (against the Ravens, the Eagles and, the Cowboys they won close games though.
they had the habit to lead very early in the game and not running after the score.
There were the 49ers in the 80's of Joe Montana and Jerry Rice and now you've got the 07 Patriots with Tom Brady and Randy Moss (photo left).
They knew where their goal was and they reached it the best way, with style!
Even if you don't like the Patriots, you have to admit they are a very solid team because they are talented offensively and defensively.
They also showed that you can beat anyone with defensive players in their thirties (Rodney Harrison, Teddy Bruschi, Adalius Thomas, Mike Vrabel, Junior Seau).
All of these players are the only linebacker corp (except Rodney Harrison who's a safety) that is aged at least 30!
They replace their lack of speed by an incredible play I.Q. They know exactly where they have to be to gain a definitive advantage on their direct opponent.
Their placement is their lethal weapon against younger and faster player.
These guys play football since, at least, ten years so you can't fake them, and I tell you one thing, don't even try dude...
So they perform defensive big plays, and with a sorcerer like coach Belichik, as I already said, everything can happen, and it happened...
