For this AFC championship game, the Pittsburgh Steelers hosted the Baltimore Ravens at Heinz field, a very rough defense for each team.

Each defense did its job, it's offensive squads that made the difference. Too much pressure on rookie quarterback Joe Flacco's shoulders. He threw 3 interceptions, one of these returned for a touchdown, but completed 13 of 30 pass attempts.
Pittsburgh also named Blitzburgh has played with Ravens thrower's nerves (photo #5) . He felt the pressure and was sacked 3 times.
I do not understand why Willis McGahee was the primary running back in this game because when you play the Steelers, you need more strength than elusiveness. LeRon McClain was starter almost all the regular season as halfback and when you need a powerful player because you face the best defense of the NFL, you benched him. McClain ran just once for a gain of 3 yards.
Sorry but I do not agree with Harbaugh's offensive choices.
Things went the right way for the Steelers, after two first-quarter field goals by Jeff Reed, Roethlisberger, who was almost sacked, found by miracle Santonio Holmes (photo #10) who crossed nearly the entire field to score a 65-yard touchdown.
Ravens' offense progressed to opponent's redzone just because Pittsburgh's cornerbacks committed defensive pass interferences on long distance throws and that's how Ravens' first touchdown came, after the first pass interference by Bryant McFadden on Derrick Mason.
At halftime Pittsburgh led 13-7.
No score in the 3rd, except a field goal by Jeff Reed, 16-7 Steelers.
The second defensive pass interference came in the 4th quarter, this penalty puted the Ravens in a good position for the second rushing touchdown which was scored by Willis McGahee.
So the Ravens wanted to believe because with favorable circomstences they were just down by 2 points (16-14). Their intractable defense allowed them to regain the football after a 3 & out .
They could drive to win the game with less than 5 minutes remaining in regulation but Troy Polamalu was everywhere once again and picked off Joe Flacco.
Polamalu (photo below #43) returned his interception for the touchdown that killed Ravens' last hopes.

Honestly, Baltimore couldn't expect, and even hope, to win this game with this kind of offensive performance 3 for 13 on 3rd downs, 198 total yards with 125 passing yards and 73 rushing yards.
You've got a big defense but you stole the ball just once to score no points.

Pittsburgh won this game on a 23-14 score.

With this win the Steelers reaped the AFC and will go to the Superbowl on the 1st of february, in two weeks.
It is their second Superbowl trip this decade after the one they won in 2006 against the Seattle Seahawks.
The Arizona Cardinals have to worry because they will face the #1 pass defense and due to their running game which is a complete ghost, I don't think they could do anything against Pittsburgh but who knows, everybody thaught Philly would win...

See-ya on the 1st of february to end this amazing season...

14-23
