It was a huge game between the Arizona Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers at university of Arizona Stadium. This monday night football went til the end of the suspense, the niners could win with only two seconds left in that ball game.
San Francisco has a new head coach which is the legendary ex-Bear Mike "the fridge" Singletary (photo below).
Big performances were inside Arizona with quarterback Kurt Warner who threw for 328 yards and 3 touchdowns.
He completed 32 passes of his 42 attempts, that is just huge. Warner, who was named two times MVP of the regular season and MVP of Superbowl XXXIV won by the Rams against the Titans, is too undestimated, okay he's not very young anymore but he gained the quarterback position battle during the training camp over Matt Leinart who was drafted for being the future of this franchise.
Actually he is the quarterback of the future but first, he has to learn the job of a NFL quarterback with an experienced one and Warner (photo right) is the best option. He can throw his bullets to big targets which are less known than guys like Terrell Owens or Plaxico Buress but, at least, as talented as them. Anquan Boldin (7 rceptions, 92 yards, 2 touchdowns), Larry Fitzgerald (8 receptions for 49 yards and 1 touchdown). Add these guys Steve Breaston (7 receptions for 121 yards) and you've got a triplet of very talented receivers with great hands, very phisical!
Boldin (photo #81) carried the football 3 times for 19 yards.

Even with Edgerin James on the sideline, the ground attack was decent.
Tim Hightower who ran for 22 yards through 13 carries. James earned only 4 yards in 2 carries.
The third halfback, J.J Arrington carried the ball just once for 1 yard. The ground attack had not to be productive due the success of their passing game.

The Cardinals won on a 29-24 score, their first monday night game victory since 2002

24-29
