34-31

38-31

Dallas had, again, a shabby first half, scoring only an opening quarter field goal, then was shut out, trailing 28-3 at halftime. Washington's passer, former second overall pick in the 2012 draft, Robert Griffin III had a terrific game throwing for 411 yards, he completes 20/28, adds 4 touchdowns but 1 pick.
RGIII throws a couple of home runs in the second period, a 63-yard score to rookie Aldrick Robinson and a 59-yarder to Pierre Garçon.
Griffin will end up this second quarter with a 6-yard pass to Santana Moss for 6 points. A rushing touchdown is added by rookie tailback Alfred Morris who runs the ball 24 times for 113 yards.

On the other side the Cowboys struggled a lot, quarterback Tony Romo threw the football 62 times! He completes about half of his attempts 37/62 for 441 yards, 3 touchdowns but, also, 2 picks.
The numbers are almost the same but the three Dallas' turnovers killed Cowboys' victory hopes as D.C scored 14 points off those.

With this victory Mike Shanahan's boys improve their record to 5-6 and are now second in the NFC East, just behind the defending champs Giants

49-19

Turnovers is the key word in this matchup between these AFC East rivals

Apparently scoring 59 points last week against the Colts was not enough for the Patriots, New England routs the divison rivals New York Jets.
The nightmare starts in the opening period when quarterback Mark Sanchez is intercepted by ex-Charger Steve Gregory that will lead to first Patriots' touchdown.
Next Jets' possession, running back Shonn Greene fumbles the ball recovered by Steve Gregory who returns it to New England 17.
On the following play Tom Brady connects with sophomore tailback Shane Vereen who scores a 83-yard touchdown outrunning Jets' secondary.
At this point New England is up by 14 as the score is 14-0.

New York is back on offense, things are getting worse, quarterback Mark Sanchez hits one of his teammates, losses another fumble which is recovered by Steve Gregory, again, who returns 32 yards to the house. Patriots' safety will end up with 1 interception, 2 recovered fumbles and 1 touchdown, pretty impressive.
The score is 21-0 Patriots.

On the following kickoff return Joe McKnight is hitted hard by Devin McCourty then loses the ball wich is recovered by Julian Edelman who returns for another New England touchdown.

The Jets concede 3 touchdowns in just 53 seconds.

The score is 28 to nothing. On their following possession, the Patriots increase their lead as Tom Brady hits Julian Edelman who's let wide open by Jets' secondary to score a 56-yard home run.
New York reduces its deficit with a 32-yard field goal by Nick Folk.

At halftime, New England leads 28-3.

A first half to forget for Rex Ryan and the Jets. New York needs crucial adjustments on both side of the ball as the secondary shows miscommunication and unability to prevent big plays. You can not let wide open targets against a quarterback like Tom Brady because he makes you pay. My point is New York does not play with strictness.

The third quarter is Jets' one, they score 9 points as the score is 28-12 Patriots.
The final period will see Tom Brady scoring a 1-yard rushing touchdown behind his offensive line, the Patriots control the ball perfectly. Another New England's touchdown is scored by Stevan Ridley.
Mark Sanchez will throw his only score of the game to his tight end Dustin Keller very late in the fourth quarter, with just nearly 2.30 to go in regulation.

The score is 49-19 and won't change anymore. A result that helps Jets/Patriots rivalry to grow.
