Baltimore reaps the AFC North for the second straight year
The Ravens really needed to bounce back after losing three straight. Facing the defending champs New York Giants, they showed a total different face they did the past three weeks.
On both sides of the ball they recovered the level that allowed them to be the best team of their division. Actually they looks like a playoff team.
Some adjustments needed to be made with new offensive coordinator, ex-Colts' head coach, Jim Caldwell and things seem to work as Baltimore scores on its first two drives and combines a season-high 533 including 289 in the first half.
Baltimore outscores New York 24 to 7, that will be the score at halftime.
In the second half, the Ravens score only field goals by their productive rookie kicker Justin Tucker who made a perfect 4/4 during this ball game. More impressive, Tucker missed just twice at this point of the season.
The G men are unable to do anything, on offense, they can't move the sticks and defensively they struggle.
Their secondary is incapable to contain opponents' receveirs, Torrey Smith, for example, was targeted a lot as Giants' cornerback Corey webster gave up too many big gains, the longest one was for a 44-yard distance.
Torrey Smith will end up with 5 catches for a total gain of 88 yards and one score. On the other side of the field Anquan Boldin grabs seven passes for 93 yards.
Giants' ground defense does not perform really better as both Ravens' halfacks, Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce, earn a 100-yard game each, they run respectively for 107 and 123 yards.
Rice will also catch 6 passes for 51 yards and 1 score.
Baltimore's quarterback Joe Flacco finishes with 309 yards completing 25/36, he adds 2 scores.
