One of the biggest rivalry in today's football, Giants-Eagles. Both teams are from the huge NFC East considered as the toughest division in the NFL.
This Sunday the battle takes place at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia.
The G men have to deal, again, with injuries. Let's see how they handle this complicated situation.

Almost the entire first half is an observation round, it's 3 & out for both teams until nearly the 2 minute warning. After a 2nd & 8, New York takes its first timeout to keep some precious time on the clock as the birds lost a yard, so it's 3rd & 9.
Pass situation, at NYG 19, quarterback Michael Vick finds his main target Desean Jackson (photo #10) wide open in the end zone for a 19-yard touchdown. Eagles' first red zone trip pays off as they lead 7-0.
On the following drive the G men are unable to score more than a 25-yard field goal by Lawrence Tynes as New York is stopped just 6 yards short of a touchdown.

At halftime, the score is 7-3 Eagles

To begin the 3rd quarter, Philly is on offense and tailback LeSean McCoy (photos below n°25) is the big guy of this series, he runs twice for big yardage, once for 34 yards and the other for a 22-yard gain, with this couple of big plays it's 1st & goal at NYG 1.

But the Giants don't let the Eagles score so easily, they performed a goal line stand, forcing Philadelphia to kick a 20-yard field goal by Alex Henery increasing Philly's lead to one touchdown as the Eagles lead 10-3.

Less than 5 minutes will be necessary for the Giants to tie the game up as Eli Manning (24/42 for 309, 2 scores, 1 pick) hits Victor Cruz for a 14-yard touchdown.

No team seems to be capable of making a real difference.
Following New York's touchdown, Eagles' kicker will add 2 more field goals, but Giants' thrower finds Bear Pascoe for a 6-yard touchdown.
At this moment, the score is 17-16 Giants.

The birds are back on offense with 6.45 to go in regulation, they build a very solid drive with a good play selection, LeSean McCoy a lot and, at some points, some short passes or Michael Vick's improvisation.
It's only at NYG 8 Philly has to kick another field goal by Alex Henery, who made a perfect 4/4 attempts.

The most important, the Eagles let only 1.49 to the G men to win the game. Shotgun formation on every plays, started from his own 35, Giants' thrower leads his team to PHI 26. At this point it's 2nd & 9, but after an offensive pass interference it's 2nd &19 at PHI 36. After a last incomplete pass to Domenick Hixon, the Giants have no choice, they must kick a field goal to win the game.
Unfortunately, Lawrence Tynes' try will stay just short...

17-19
